The foundations are constructed out of reinforced concrete, and are approximately 15 metres in diameter. The concrete is approximately 1 metre thick on the outside, increasing towards the centre, with a further one metre directly underneath the tower, attached to the tower bottom. This is buried so all that is visible above ground is the tower base. The overall depth to the base of the foundation is approximately 2.5 metres.
